Raoul Shungu has called upon Rayon Sports fans to come in large numbers and back arch rivals APR Fc in today’s MTN Champions League encounter with Egyptian giants Zamalek at Nyamirambo stadium.

"What we have before us now are national interests, lets the fans forget the differences between them and but the nation ahead,” the Rayon Sports coach stated yesterday hours before his team’s departure to Addis Ababa.

Rayon takes on Ethiopia’s Harar Beer in the first leg of the Caf Confederations Cup tomorrow with the return leg slated for a fortnight later.

The Congolese tactician added that, "The main objective of club football is to develop the game of the country.”

"I would be very happy to see APR emerge victors and I hope my compatriot see things in the same breadth as I do,” added the former Seychelles national football team head coach Rayon fans, the majority in the country has in the past shunned APR matches involving foreign teams but with Shungu’s rally call, one would be forgiven to hope for their change of heart.
