African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has endorsed Tunisia to host the 2023 men and women’s African Club Championship.

Tunis will host the men's tournament from May 9-22 while the women's showpiece will take place from May 13-26.

Rwanda will be represented by Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and APR who won their championships in men and women categories respectively.

The Club Championships is considered as one of the most prestigious volleyball tournaments in Africa attracting the best clubs from across the continent.

Gisagara Volleyball Club finished their campaign at the 2022 men's African Volleyball Club Championship in Tunis, Tunisia, on an impressive note after grabbing a third place finish with victory over Port Douala of Cameroon by three sets to one.

The team won a bronze medal, the first ever won by a Rwandan club in the country’s volleyball history.
