Rwanda cyclist Moise Mugisha has completed a move to Rubavu-based cycling club Benediction Kitei Pro 2020 on an undisclosed deal.

The renowned rider was in talks to join Spanish Cycling club Burgo BH after his contract with South African side ProTouch expired in December 2020 but he ended up signing for Benediction Kitei Pro.

"l have joined team Benediction Kitei Pro 2020. l'm happy with the start of the season race which starts in February and that is the Tour du Rwanda,” the rider said in a twitter post on Wednesday.

Mugisha,26, won stage eight of Tour du Rwanda 2022 and became the first native to win a stage in competition since Union Cycliste Internationale approved it to a 2.1 race status in 2019.

He will be among the top cyclists to watch in the 2023 edition of the annual continental race which will take place from February 19-26.
