APR Volleyball Club have intensified their pursuit of Rwanda international Wycliff Dusenge, who is currently a free agent after his contract with Kepler VC expired at the end of the 2025/26 season.
A source close to APR told Times Sport that the army side has offered the experienced outside hitter a monthly salary of Rwf5 million to secure his signature. However, the 27-year-old is yet to make a final decision on his future.
Dusenge is widely regarded as one of Rwanda's top volleyball players. He recently capped another outstanding season where he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2026 Genocide Memorial Tournament, leading Kepler VC to the title in the annual competition that honours sportsmen and women killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Since joining Kepler, Dusenge has played a pivotal role in the club's emergence as one of Rwanda's leading volleyball teams. His performances helped the side reach the National Volleyball League playoffs in consecutive seasons (2024/25 and 2025/26), establishing himself as one of the league's most consistent and influential players.
His experience, leadership and attacking quality have made him one of the most sought-after players on the domestic transfer market.
Kepler have yet to announce contract renewal talks with the player, leaving the door open for APR to make him a top transfer priority.
Meanwhile, APR are also in negotiations with South Sudanese opposite hitter James Achille Nhial as they continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The military side has been active in the transfer market following a disappointing campaign in which they failed to qualify for the National Volleyball League playoffs.
As part of their rebuilding process, APR have already completed the signing of middle blocker Patrick Byiringiro from Kepler VC on a two-year contract and are expected to make further additions before the start of the new season.
