6PM: Rayon Sports Vs APR FC
Venue: Amahoro Stadium
Rayon Sports F.C. have received a major boost ahead of their Peace Cup Final showdown against APR F.C. after four key players returned to full training.
Striker Asman Ndikumana, defenders Youssou Diagne and Tshimanga Ramazani, as well as goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera, all participated in Tuesday’s training session at the club’s Nzonve training base as preparations intensified for the May 23 final at Amahoro Stadium.
Ndikumana had been sidelined with an ankle injury, while Diagne was recovering from a knee problem. Kwizera missed the previous BK Pro League match against Gorilla F.C. due to a toothache, whereas Tshimanga had spent recent days recovering from a groin injury.
Rayon Sports may need to win the Peace Cup — or finish strongly in the league — to secure qualification for continental football next season, especially if APR complete a domestic double.
The Blues, who last lifted the Peace Cup in 2023, will be eager to end their difficult run against APR and deliver silverware to their supporters.
The winner of the Peace Cup will qualify to represent Rwanda in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.
