Kepler WVC delivered a commanding performance to defeat Police WVC in straight sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-20) in Game 4 of their semifinal playoff at Petit Stade on Wednesday, forcing the series into a decisive Game 5.
Florien Siborurema’s Kepler made a strong start, taking early control of the opening set. Outside hitter Binta Fatoumata Bah led the charge with an impressive attacking display, guiding her team to a comfortable 25-18 win.
The second set proved more competitive, with both sides battling point for point. Neither Police, coached by Christian Hatumimana, nor Kepler were willing to concede ground early on.
The score remained level at 14-14 before coordination errors between Police setter Iris Ndagijimana and the defence allowed Kepler to edge ahead. Capitalising on these mistakes, Kepler closed the set 25-19.
In the third set, Kepler maintained their momentum, with Violet Makuto playing a key role in attack. Her contributions helped seal a 25-20 win and complete a dominant straight-sets victory.
The result levels the best-of-five semifinal series at 2-2, setting up a decisive Game 5 to determine who will face APR WVC in the finals.
The final semifinal clash is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at Petit Stade.
