Police volleyball club have signed 22-year-old Brazilian left attacker Matheus Aperecido on a one-year-deal.

Aperecido’s arrival promises to become a major boost for Police who have been unconvincing this season, hence dropping to second place in the provisional ranking with 19 points, one point behind leaders Rwanda Energy Group (REG) VC.

Club coach Fred Musoni told Times Sport that the Brazilian will be crucial in the club's title push this season.

"We hope he will help us with trophies and, with him, we hope to pick up maximum points from our next matches, and move on to the next stage,” said Musoni

Police have won six matches and lost twice from their last eight games. They will next face APR on March 23 in a match that will mark the end of the first leg .
