Local volleyball league defending champions Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) are currently exploring the transfer market in order to replace three key players who left them, as the club tries to prepare for the new season.

The 2024/2025 women’s volleyball season will tipoff on January 20, with a couple of games including one between RRA and IPRC-Kigali.

As the season gets underway, RRA hopes to buy a couple of players to replace those who departed including center Hope Musaniwabo, setters Iris Ndagijimana and Ernestine Akimanizanye, as well as right-attackers Claire Nishimwe and Christine Uwahoro.

The players in question joined with local clubs like APR and East African University.

"After losing key players, the team is looking for new ones in three positions. Currently, we have a number young players on the team but they are not experienced enough,” said RRA head coach Elia Mutabazi.
