APR Fc are planning to bring back their former goalkeeper Ramadhan Nkunzingoma, Times Sport has established.

The 2006/7 Primus National League champions want the Amavubi Stars number one, now with DR Congo’s TP Mazembe as replacement for Aime Ndizeye who set to join rivals Atraco Fc.

As part of their preparations for next season, the military side is currently negotiating with various players from rival clubs.

Nkunzingoma left APR before the start of the 2005/06 season in pursuit of pastures greener and so ended up at Mazembe were is second choice.

One club official who preferred anonymity told Times Sport yesterday that the veteran shot-stopper is among the top targets on their wish list for next season.

Both parties have long been in discussion to bring back the Rwandan international for a second spell and according to the official, the deal could be finalized before the end of this month.

However, when contacted, APR manager Capt. Eric Ntazinda denied knowledge about Nkunzingoma’s return to the club.

"I don’t know anything about his recruitment and if there is any deal that remains at the administrative level,” Ntazinda said.

The nine-time national champions have already completed talks about bringing Kiyovu captain Djabil Mutarambirwa and are reported to have started negotiations about adding Claude Iranzi and Jean Baptista Mugiraneza also from the same club.

Others players on the club’s transfer wish list are Rayon Sport and Amavubi Stars starlet Haruna Niyonzima and Jeunesse midfielder Jean Habimana.

As the club moves to bring in new faces, one their longest serving players Aime Ndizeye is being linked with a move away from the club with the destination being to rivals Atraco Fc.

After a disappointing campaign, the taxi-men have made a major overhaul of their senior team, releasing over eighty percent of the senior players from the last two seasons.

The club has already released more than 12 senior players including three goalkeepers Morgan Ojok, Rashid Muhimpundu and Mohammed Mossi. It is reported that the Burundian international, Ndizeye is being lured by Atraco interim coach Capt. Jean Marie Ntagwabira his former coach at APR.

But the club first vice president Issa Ngenzi told Times Sport yesterday that they have not held any transfer contacts with Ndizeye and promised to give more details when the transfer window opens.

"Those are mere speculations because much as we have offloaded some players, we have not recruited new players,” Ngenzi said.
