Cameroonian forward Ivan Jordan Nana scored the decisive goal as Al Hilal SC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bugesera FC in a BK Pro League match at Bugesera Stadium on Saturday.

The 19-year-old midfielder broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, finding the back of the net shortly after the restart to hand the Sudanese giants all three points in a closely contested encounter.

Both sides struggled to create clear-cut chances in a cagey first half, with Bugesera holding their own against the league newcomers.

However, Nana made the difference after the break with a decisive finish that separated the two teams.

His match-winning contribution earned him the Man of the Match award, capping an impressive performance in midfield.

The goal also marked an important milestone for the young Cameroonian, who recently joined Al Hilal with a growing reputation after captaining Cameroon to the UNIFFAC U20 Championship title.

Saturday's strike was his first for the club, coming just a week after he made his debut in a 2-0 victory over Gasogi United on October 31.

The victory strengthens Al Hilal's position in the BK Pro League as the Sudanese side continues to settle into Rwandan football. Bugesera FC, meanwhile, will rue their inability to convert their chances despite putting up a spirited fight on home soil.
