It was a fusion of culture and praise at Christian Life Assembly church (CLA) in Nyarutarama during a three-day regional conference dubbed “Overflow Africa Worship.”

The conference was organised by Heavenly Melodies Africa. Hundreds of Christians turned up for the exceptional evenings of worship and praise featuring some of the most gifted gospel vocalists and ministers.

This year’s Overflow Africa Worship was unique compared to regular worship events because it was a fusion of culture and worship.

The conference, which was held under the theme, “The place of worship in the local church” brought together worship team leaders, artistes and Pastors from Uganda, Burundi, Kenya and Zambia.

The opening worship evening which took place on Sunday started from 4:00pm-8:00pm and featured performances by Heavenly Melodies Rwanda and Burundi with traditional dances.

The congregation through prayers and songs of worship thanked God for the blessings He has bestowed on Rwanda and prayed for the entire continent to live in peace.

Guest artistes including Dudu Niyukuri from Burundi, Rachel Nanyangwe from Zambia, and Humkay from Uganda performed.

Pastor David Ewagata from Kenya was the main preacher during the conference while Olivier Kavutse and his wife Amanda Kavutse were the hosts of the conference.

Different speakers emphasised the message of peace and hope while the attendees, mainly the youth, took time off to connect with God through praise and worship. The Overflow Africa Worship conference takes place annually.
