The Embassy of Egypt in Kigali has donated 60 tonnes of rice and 520 cartons of cooking oil to returnees from Tanzania.

The food relief was received Monday by State Minister for Community Development and Social Affairs, Christine Nyatanyi, from Ahmed Ramy, the Egyptian Ambassador to Rwanda.

The function, which took place at Magerwa depot in Gikondo in Kigali, followed the previous donations of 35 tonnes of beans, 6000 cartons of cooking oil and medications.

This is the fourth time such relief from Embassy is being provided to the returnees temporarily sheltered at Kiyanzi transit camp in Kirehe District, Eastern Province.
