Kabarebe met with the APR team on Tuesday which is in intensive preparations for the tie on Saturday, September 10.

In his remarks to the army side, Gen. Kabarebe asked them to do whatever it takes to qualify for the next round.

"You have a great coach so that gives us hope to win the game on Saturday," Kabarebe said.

He added: "I ask you to win this game and qualify for the next round, because even other big teams that have played against APR realized we are not an easy team."

APR FC suffered an early exit from the 2021/22 CAF Champions League following a 4-0 loss to Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the return leg after both sides had played out a 1-1 draw in the first-leg in Kigali.
