Former APR FC striker Mamadou Sy has praised the Rwandan champions, describing the club as a team with a strong winning mentality that challenges players to perform at their best. The Mauritanian forward, who spent two seasons with the army side, was on Tuesday allowed to leave after the expiry of his contract. Sy said his time at APR FC left him with memorable experiences, describing it as a top club in Rwanda. “APR FC is a good team, the best team in Rwanda. It is a team that always wants to win. Playing for APR FC is a great honour,” he noted. He added that he would always appreciate the support he received from fans and teammates during his stay at the club. “It was a good story with APR FC and I enjoyed every moment working with the team. We had a good squad and great teammates. I will always remember the love from my teammates and the fans,” he added. During his two seasons at APR FC, Sy helped the club win six trophies, including two Rwanda Premier League titles, two Peace Cups, the Super Cup and the Heroes Cup.
