Rwanda international Hakim Sahabo has said goodbye to French side LOSC Lille as a move to Standard Liege beckons.

The Belgian Jupiler Pro League side have almost completed talks to sign the 17-year-old attacking midfielder and he has thanked Lille for the platform they gave him.

"The time has come for me to say goodbye to you. A huge thank you for your unwavering support!" Sahabo said via his social media platforms.

Sahabo joined Lille in 2021 from the academy of KV Mechelen and featured for the U17 side before being promoted to the U19 team in 2022.

He netted five goals in the just-concluded season as Lille finished fifth in the Championnat National U19 League table.

The wonderkid is expected to jet in Kigali June 16 as he expects to help the national team ahead of AFCON qualifier against Mozambique on June 18 at Huye Stadium.
