Senior Commissioners in Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) have been urged to adhere to procurement laws. The law requires the tendering process to be very transparent, officials from Rwanda Public Procure Authority (RPPA) said. They were conducting a one-day training of RRA staff at Hotel Mille Collines yesterday.

The training comes at a time the Ministerial Order increased the threshold for awarding tenders in public institutions, commissions and government projects. Before the law was amended this year, government institutions would award tenders of Frw50m and below.

And any procurement between Frw100-150m, the institutions had to request for permission from national tender board.
