Rwanda’s most celebrated cycling club Cine Elmay has vowed not to participate in the Mountain bike race scheduled for September 8-9 in Huye of the Southern Province.

According Abouba Sebuchanda, the club’s acting president and coach; the club will not be part of the race after falling out with the national cycling federation president Charles Kamanda.

"We are not going to take part in the race because we have failed to get in touch with Kamanda inspite of the many times we have asked to meet him over a number of unsolved issues,” a concerned Sebuchanda said before adding that interested cyclists can register for the race as individuals but not as a club.
