Atraco head coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira is assured his club can lift this year’s national football league title by winning the remaining fixtures ahead of the season climax.

Ntagwabira told Times Sport that his side is ready for the remaining five fixtures thus recording Atraco’s maiden league title since their promotion to the top flight league two seasons ago.

Atraco currently leads the league table with 44 points, two points ahead nine time champions APR.

"I have higher chances of lifting this year’s league title compared to APR. We (Atraco) are two points ahead of them and we both have a game in hand,"

"If I win the remaining fixtures, I will definitely lift the title and any slump on APR’s side will be to our advantage," Ntagwabira said.

Both teams are faced with crucial fixtures in their five remaining fixtures. Both clubs are expected to face Rayon Sport and Kiyovu.

Other remaining fixtures for Atraco include AS Kigali, Electrogaz and Military while APR must win its other fixtures against Police, AS Kigali and Mukura.

However, Ntagwabira confident of securing maximum points against three minnow fixtures against Electrogaz, AS Kigali and Military but failed to predict the result for the crucial tests against Rayon Sport and Kiyovu.

Atraco kept their title hopes alive with a slim 1-0 victory over giant killer Mukura VC on Thursday.
