BK TecHouse, a subsidiary of the BK Group Plc, has been accredited with the prestigious ISO 27001:2017 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.

Satisfying the ISO 27001:2017 and ISO 9001:2015 certification procedures and regulations comes with a rigorous evaluation and auditing process conducted by an independent certification body.

The certifications are meant to be proof of BK Techouse’s ability to deliver the best-in-class products and services by following internationally recognised good practices.

The ISO 27001:2017 entails abiding by the crucial requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). It guarantees that BK Techouse is employing the best practices to shield confidential information and data. It involves installing, executing, and maintaining an effective ISMS to restrict the risk of a data breach.

On the other hand, ISO 9001:2015 ensures that the company adheres to a stable quality management system (QMS) capable of offering consistent and high-quality services to clients. The certification secures the company’s position as a competitive technology partner for its clients, assuring them that their expectations are fulfilled.

Jean Claude Munyangabo, CEO of BK TecHouse, acknowledges that achieving ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications is reflective of the company’s steadfast efforts to offer top-notch services while keeping up with the highest security and quality standards.

Managing Director of East and Southern Africa Certi-Trust, Mike Kamau, affirmed that having gone through the rigorous and equitable certification process, BK TecHouse has demonstrated its trusted position and ability to facilitate digital transformation through its products and services.

The Chief Technology Officer at BK TecHouse, Deogratius Stephen Massawe, noted that with the certifications in place, the company is set to strengthen its position by providing secure technological solutions for its clients, and even more products in addition to those already in place.

The current BK TecHouse products include Urubuto Pay, a universal payment gateway; Urubuto Education System, a school management system; Smart Nkunganire System, an agriculture input supply chain platform; Smart Kungahara System, a digital value chain for cash crops; and Kiliziya Yacu, a comprehensive information management system for the Catholic Church.

The company also offers services such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), the Internet of Things (IoT), and broadband service.
