GASABO - Over 4000 students from Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) on Wednesday held an anti-genocide demonstration from their Remera-based campus to Kigali Business Centre (KBC), Kimihurura.

During the peaceful demonstration, the protestors carried placards with anti-genocide massages, some of which denounced genocide ideology among teachers in the country.

"This is a very great opportunity for us as teachers in the pipeline; it is our duty to create awareness for both students and the public in combating the evil genocide ideology,” said Hassan Murenzi, the president of the student’s consultative board.

He urged students to become agents of change and development in their country, adding that as teachers of tomorrow, they can play a central role in shaping a better Rwandan society.
