A reliable source told Times Sport that the coach has been shown an exit door as the club continues searching for his replacement.

"Mutabazi will not be with us for the next games in the national league. A new head coach will be announced soon,” the source said.

Mutabazi joined APR in 2019 replacing Kenyan Sammy Mulinge.

He helped the military side, among other notable achievements, win one league title in the 2020 season.

Regarded as one of the best players of his generation, Mutabazi retired from competitive volleyball in 2013 and has since held various coaching positions – at club level and in national teams – largely as an assistant to Mulinge at APR.
