Stop tax operators from taking the law into their hands

Dear editor,

I am real disturbed by the fact that tax operators can hike travel fares the way they want without any fear. There is no fixed fare from one point to another in Kigali city.

Tax conductors and their drivers change them from 150 frws to 170frws and vice versa in a rather haphazard way.
This is indeed disturbing and it shows disorganization in the whole transport system that is controlled by different travel agencies.

Is it because no one brings them together to respect a single set rule or what? Who should do this?

Even the way they push passengers into and out of their vehicles, is very annoying. Let them be reminded that Rwandans are getting more civilized every day and cannot give chance any backward move. They are not supposed to take law into their hands.

Let again the drivers be aware that people who board their taxes are not as senseless as they may be thinking. If we take tough decisions against them, they will regret their actions.
