The Trappish movement will soon open in Kigali a record label and recording studio dubbed the ‘Trappish Records’, the founder of the famous rap movement Ish Kevin has confirmed to The New Times.

According to Ish Kevin, Trappish Records will open its doors next week and will be offering music services to all Rwandan artistes including upcoming ones.

The studio and music label, he said, is one of many other innovations the rap movement has in store for Rwandans and the Rwandan music industry at large this year.

"Trappish Records is here for all Rwandan musicians and anyone who want to record good music and push our industry at the top. Our services will be available to the public by next week,” Ish Kevin said, adding that construction works of the studio are almost done.

The ‘Amakosi’ hitmaker further noted that two artistes will be signed under the new label as part of its inauguration.

"We already have two artistes to be signed under the label next week alongside a new kid known as Juni Quickly as the main producer of the studio. Juni is new but crazy about music production. He is also the main producer of my first album,” the rapper noted.

Meanwhile, Ish Kevin is set to drop his maiden album ‘BTS’ that will also be distributed under the Trappish records label.
