Hormisdas Rucweli Kambanda, 62, who is a civil engineer and Director General of pharmaceutical factory (RABOFAR), is the longest serving council member for Nyanza district since 2001 and vice-chairman of the association of District Advisory councils (DAC) in Rwanda.
Hormisdas Rucweli Kambanda, 62, who is a civil engineer and Director General of pharmaceutical factory (RABOFAR), is the longest serving council member for Nyanza district since 2001 and vice-chairman of the association of District Advisory councils (DAC) in Rwanda.
He plans on using his experience in the councils to advocate and find solutions to the problems affecting the community and implementing laws suitable for the people.
"I have been caring for people all my life.
I would like to extend my advocacy using that same experience of loving my country and working for my community in various domains” Kambanda says.
Bellancille Umukobwa, 43, who holds a Master in Public administration, is the boss of InterHouse Ltd- the official representative of Yamaha in Rwanda.
She has served in UN organs in Rwanda and International Red cross among others. She is also a chairperson and founder member of the Avega Gahozo Association.
Umukobwa plans on advocacy for improved infrastructure in the Mayaga zone which connects Rwanda and Burundi, promote mining activities in the province, and proper implementation of government funds.
"I will focus on close collaboration with residents in making laws to improve their welfare, fight any sort of corruption and promote use of research in finding lasting solutions to skills development and improved labor market” she says.
Marie Claire Mukasine, 52, who holds a Phd in law and masters degree in management, is currently Permanent Secretary in the ministry of infrastructure and director General of Rwanda Investment Group (RIG).
She also formerly served as a lawyer and judge, Executive secretary for Haguruka, former PS in the Ministry of gender and Director General of Sonarwa insurance and served on various Boards of government and private institutions among others.
With this wide experience and leadership roles Mukasine says that she will use the knowledge and skills to advocate for better infrastructure, such as water supply and electricity for all communities.
"I have been there and I have acquired skills needed to advocate for the needs of the people and implement resident friendly laws. This will be done through consultation and love of work and truth- and justtice for the Rwandan people” Mukasine says.
Marie Claire Mukamusonera, holds a BA in accounting and has served in OCIR Tea, as director of Gisovu tea factory and Director of Tea standards in Rwanda.
Mukamusonera plans on advocating for good governance, promotion of family welfare and human rights.
She says: "I have been a trusted servant of the people. My vision will be to improve the standards and represent the needs of the community, if elected.”
