School gardens are small gardens near our school compounds where we can learn different lessons. Students studying in villages where gardens are common may not understand the need to have a school garden. However, a school garden helps us learn a lot of things in science agriculture subjects.

School gardens teach us about different crops and how they grow. On the school garden, teachers and students are able to carry out experiments with ease.
It is on the school garden where students learn the importance of land usage that is to say; crop rotation, deforestation, a forestation, and the use of manure to mention a few.
If well used, school gardens can provide enough food for the school, especially the boarding section. School gardens inspire students to study agriculture. Agriculture is one of Rwandans biggest income generating sectors.
