Rayon Sport are to leave no stone unturned as they hunt for a win over Ethiopia’s Harar Beer in the second leg of the Caf Confederation Cup tie due at Nyamirambo stadium this afternoon.

Rayon Sport’s chances of advancing to the next stage of the Caf Confederation Cup have been jeopardized by influential midfielder Kalisa Kase who has failed to report back to the club.

Rayon’s influential midfielder Kalisa Kase who didn’t travel with the team for the first leg in Ethiopia a fortnight ago has since went AWOL(Away without Official Leave) after he was left out of the Ethiopian bound squad for failure to train with his team mates.

"Kalisa Kase is not around so Masudi Djuma will start tomorrow,” the Rayon Sport coach Raoul Shungu told Times Sport yesterday.

The Blues who are in a deficit of two goals need a 3-0 result to advance to the next stage. Rayon Sport coach Raoul Shungu that despite the midfield void, every player is in a do or die mood.

"We are in upbeat mood and my players know that a good result is going to take them to the second round,” the Ethiopians ‘Harar Beer’ arrived in the country on Thursday and have been holding their training sessions at Nyamirambo stadium.

Rayon’s last continental show came in 2006 when they were dislodged by Egypt’s Al Ittihad Al-Iskandary in the second round. Last year, Rayon sports missed out after finishing third in the Primus national football league. Today’s winner will face Sudan’s El Merreikh in the second round.

Rayon Sport Squad: L.Webo, O.Uwingabire, M.Yossam, B.Hategikimana, S.Okello, A.Hategikimana, A.Nyumbayire, Djuma Masudi, J.Kidega, J.Gatete and L.Bokota.
