My fool’s day package…

“Fool’s day”… I totally love this day (I am not a fool of course), honestly not because I love to fool people around but because I love to see the fooled and those that give in to such a day. Who is it meant for anyway? Is it for the “fooled or the one fooling?” I am always bemused! The “special day” actually reminds me of my high school days when we were lied to that we had received a letters from a nearby girl’s school. Definitely that would mean your crash mate had sent warm hugs and wishes in writing.

"Fool’s day”… I totally love this day (I am not a fool of course), honestly not because I love to fool people around but because I love to see the fooled and those that give in to such a day.

Who is it meant for anyway? Is it for the "fooled or the one fooling?” I am always bemused!
The "special day” actually reminds me of my high school days when we were lied to that we had received a letters from a nearby girl’s school. Definitely that would mean your crash mate had sent warm hugs and wishes in writing.

I remember I was fooled in my high school, that I had received a mail package from a secret admirer.

My enthusiasm rose at the moment only to find out a piece of tissue paper was in the envelope with words that read "Happy Fool’s Day, fool”! I was psychologically affected for a long time.

A few years later in 2010, in the months of March, it was a few days to the so-called Fools day.

During that time, I was a new and simple employee and worked with great, beautiful and feared ladies.

These ladies were surely feared, they were smartly dressed, had classy looks all the way and financially stable, however, they were young. All the gents did was to stare, appreciate and wish they would move out with one of these belles.

Jackie was among them. Intelligent, ambitious, and successful, all that is what she was.

In fact everything about her was checked on my list, not forgetting she was definitely beautiful.

But as a sharp chap from the suburbs of the city, I knew I could devise my good means to have her into my territory. And one of the means that had come my way that, I could not let go was FOOL’S DAY.

Before I could split my thought to my colleagues about Jackie, they all warned that she was a no nonsense fellow. So my FOOL’S DAY plan almost backfired.

Never the less, I could not blame my tools until they worked, so I decided no one would change my mind no matter what.

About four days after we had been exchanging "HI’s and HEY’s” it was now Fool’s Day. My day to play my game had come. Later that morning at 7:00 a.m, I sent a text to her phone number.
It read:"Hey J, just to say gud morning, Oh sori by the way I didn’t dream about you last nyt! (Happy Fools Day) Of course I did. Bob”. My game had certainly started.

I was definitely not there to see whether she smiled at my SMS but her reply surely could tell she had chuckled or she was blushing.

Time check is about 11:00 a.m and I have not seen her at work yet. It’s obvious why I was so anxious to see her.

I wanted to pass on word that could get me closer to Jacky before it clocked 12:00 p.m, at the end of my accomplice, FOOL’S DAY. Just a few minutes to 12:00 p.m, guess, who walked in the building… it was Jacky smiling. What was written on the t-shirt she wore "don’t ask me out”. What a coincidence! I actually wanted to ask her out. But since I was town grown I had to twist my word.

"Good morning Jacky,” I said as I looked at her, with a smile worn on of course. "Am okay good morning,” she replied.

Before she could say anything else I said, "I won’t ask you out” like it read on her t-shirt. She took a breath to say something about it and I told her I was lying to her, "I was just fooling you, truthfully I will ask you out,” I said.

Definitely I had asked her out in disguise and it was lunch for me and her. As I tell you this my phone inbox is full of Jacky Jacky… thanks to Fool’s Day we are an item now.
