Tuyisenge gets Amavubi call up, Niyonzima out with injury

Rayon Sports winger, Arsène Tuyisenge has been added to the Amavubi national team squad replacing injured Oliver Niyonzima.

The national football team head coach, Carlos Alos Ferrer, recently called up 24 players, in preparation for the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Tuyisenge replaces AS Kigali's Niyonzima Olivier, known as Sefu, who picked up an injury on the first day of training.

Tuyisenge, arrived at Rayon Sports in July of this year from Espoir.

The 22-year-old has been doing well in pre-season friendly games and earned a starting spot during Rayon's 1-0 win against Rutsiro on Sunday.

Amavubi continue training at the Kigali Stadium, preparing for two matches against Ethiopia in hunt for a ticket for the CHAN games to be held in Algeria.

The first match is scheduled for Friday, August 26, in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

While the second leg match will be played on September 3, 2022 in Huye.
