Today’s fixtures Rayon v Police Umurabyo v Police Mukura v Etincelles Marines v Espoir

 AS Kigali v Kibuye

 Zebres v APR

Jeunesse v Kiyovu

For the first time in seasons, the national league enters it’s final round of matches with no team assured of the title.

Either APR Fc or Rayon Sports can win it depending on who wins the final game with a more convincing score line.

Therefore, it’s for the reason that neither can afford to drop even a point as the battle for the title goes into the final stretch this afternoon.

Both teams are level on 56 points at the top of the table standing but the reigning champions have a better goal difference of one.

Seeking a record ninth title in 13 seasons, APR have the easier fixture away to bottom side Zebra while Rayon who are looking for their first title since 2004 have a tricky one against revitalized Police Fc.

With four title on their name and chasing a fifth, Rayon will be hoping to score as many goals as they can and hope that APR lose, draw or win by the slimmest of margins.

After their mid-summer signing of Labama Bogota, Rayon has looked very sharp up front Rayon head Antoinne Rutsindura believes that with the league leading marksman, it is a matter of how many his team will put past Police coached by his predecessor Bernard Ndiki.

The Congolese born striker has 13 goals onto his name from nine league games and will be his team’s major weapon today.

"We have had enough preparations and I’m confident that we are going to win.

We want to win the league and play continental football next year,” Rutsindura acknowledged.

On the other hand, Bernard Ndiki has promised to make life a living hell for his former employers and prove to them they made a mistake to sack him.

Ndiki was sacked by Rayon at the start of the second round but has had a good run with Police leading to five victories and two draws.

"I know that they are fighting for the title but we also want to improve on our position on the table, so they in for a tough time” Ndiki vowed.

Police lost 0-2 to Rayon Sport in the first round.

Elsewhere, fourth placed Atraco Fc play against Umurabyo in Rwamagana while Mukura in third hosts Etincelles at Huye stadium.
