Handball: Rwanda loses to Morocco in African Junior champs

The U-20 national handball team lost its second group stage game 22-39 to Morocco, at the ongoing U-20 African Handball Championship in Kigali.

The U-20 national handball team, on Monday August 22, lost its second group stage game 22-39 to Morocco, at the ongoing U-20 African Handball Championship.

The games are taking place in Kigali, at the BK Arena.

So far, Rwanda has played 2 games at the competition, and lost both.

On Saturday, Rwanda lost its opening game to Angola 20-43.

Rwanda’s next game will be against Tunisia, and this will be the team's last game in Group A.

It will take place on Wednesday, August 24.

After the group phase, the best two teams will proceed from the two groups that make up the tournament to the semi-finals which will be played on a knockout basis.

After this, the finals will take place to establish the continental champion.

The top four teams from the tournament will directly qualify for the 2023 Men’s Junior World Handball Championship that will be jointly hosted by Germany and Greece next year.
