Rwanda 20-43 Angola


The U-20 national team started its Group A campaign at the U-20 African Men’s Handball Championship on a low note after losing to Angola 20-43 on Saturday night at BK Arena.

Rwanda put up a spirited attack but could not stop Angola’s inspirational winger Goncalves, JR who was top scorer with 7 goals.

Today, Egypt will play against Libya in Group B at 4pm while Algeria will be up against Congo Brazzaville at 6 pm.

Rwanda’s next game will be against Morocco on Monday, August 22.

The team is in Group A alongside Tunisia, Morocco and Angola.

The tournament will undergo a group phase, with teams from Groups A and B playing in a round-robin format.

After that the best two teams in each group will advance to the knockouts; semi-finals and the final.
