Rwanda’s handball governing body (FERWAHAND) has confirmed that the 2023 national Heroes Day handball tournament will be held in February 4-5 in Gicumbi district,

The two-day competition will attract teams from both men and women categories.

Police and Kiziguro will be looking to defend their titles in the respective categories

"All the local handball clubs in men and women categories are supposed to participate, but we are waiting for their confirmation,” said FERWAHAND Secretary General Pascal Tuyisenge.

The men’s clubs lined up to participate in this year’s edition include holders APR, Police, ADEGI, ES Kigoma, Nyakabanda, JN Vision, UR-Huye while Gorillas, University of Rwanda, Kiziguro Secondary School, Three Stars and Kitabi Secondary School will be represented in women’s tourney.
