The expression ‘Beauty Sleep’ may be one that you have heard someone say at one point or another, but never really paid much attention to. Believe it or not, sleep is really linked to beauty!

Beauty sleep does exist and it’s important that we all get enough of it. It refers to the positive outcomes that a regular sleeping pattern brings to our health, and consequently beauty.

So when we don’t get enough beauty sleep, what are we really missing?

Good sleep helps our skin look healthier during the sleeping cycle. Here is why: There is scientific evidence that skin cells regenerate faster at night than during the day. So sleep is an essential ingredient that allows us to look revitalised at all times.

However, it is not just the fact that we are sleeping that’s important, how many hours we rest counts too.
Studies show that the average adult should sleep between six and a half hours to eight hours each night.

A person who doesn’t have a healthy sleeping routine usually looks and feels worn out all the time because their body gets exhausted due to irregular sleeping patterns. Lack of sleep in the long run prevents the human body from functioning well while awake because the brain has been sleep deprived.

Sleep is essential for keeping anyone in good physical and mental health; unfortunately many people don’t pay much attention to the benefits it brings to their lives.

In today’s busy world it may be difficult to get enough sleep, however sleeping enough hours while maintaining regular sleeping patterns allows us to revitalize ourselves at all levels- mind body and soul.

Sleeping well promotes good health and once you have good health, looking good naturally follows!
