Election volunteers urged to stick to election guidelines

RWAMAGANA - The National Electoral Commission (NEC) has urged elections volunteers in Eastern Province to adhere to the set election guidelines. NEC made the call while meeting the volunteers meant to supervise the August 9.

RWAMAGANA - The National Electoral Commission (NEC) has urged elections volunteers in Eastern Province to adhere to the set election guidelines. NEC made the call while meeting the volunteers meant to supervise the August 9.

"It is imperative that we provide adequate and relevant information about various activities to be conducted by these officials,” the NEC representative in the area, Frank Kayiranga said.

"We are thus not leaving any stone unturned, to make ourselves ready for smooth, clean and calm elections.”
Alphonsine Mukandayisaba, election volunteer in Bugesera district, reiterated the importance of respecting the set election rules and regulations.

Vianney Ngarambe, another election volunteer in Kayonza district, appealed to NEC to avail sufficient election materials on time to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.

He further appealed to his fellow volunteers to build self confidence while on duty.
