US hands over Frw111m school

KIGALI - The US Embassy in Kigali yesterday handed over Shyara Primary School to the Ministry of Education. The seven-classroom block, which accommodates at least 300 pupils, was constructed in Shyara Sector in Bugesera District, Eastern Province. The school, worth Frw111 million, was funded by the US European Command’s Humanitarian Assistance to Rwanda. Through this assistance, seven primary schools have been constructed countrywide.

KIGALI - The US Embassy in Kigali yesterday handed over Shyara Primary School to the Ministry of Education. The seven-classroom block, which accommodates at least 300 pupils, was constructed in Shyara Sector in Bugesera District, Eastern Province. The school, worth Frw111 million, was funded by the US European Command’s Humanitarian Assistance to Rwanda. Through this assistance, seven primary schools have been constructed countrywide.

The school was handed over to the Secretary General in the Ministry of Education, Narcisse Musabeyezu, by the US Ambassador to Rwanda, Michael Arietti.

Also present were among others, Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) Director of Logistics Maj. Gen. Patrick Nyamvumba and the Commander of the Combined Joint Taskforce, Horn of Africa, Real Admiral James Hart.
