I can’t help but wonder what would happen if in this day and age, a guy gathered up the nerve to wear Adam’s suit.
They would think he’s lost his mind and lock him up with a strait jacket on. Back in the day, that’s how it was and there was no one to impress.
These days you have to be careful what you wear. It is important to ensure that your outfit makes sense whether it’s at a function, dinner date, outing, at home, a visit to the grocery store or a lazy walk around the neighborhood.
How do you show up at a dinner party in sweatpants? What impression would that give? That you do not have a decent dinner outfit or that you just can’t be bothered.
Either way it is very disrespectful showing up shabby when everybody else is smart and elegant.
When you are at home relaxing with the kids and enjoying your weekend, why would you be putting on high heels?
It’s ok to want to be smart at all times but isn’t there something more home suited that you could look absolutely fabulous in?
It’s impossible to run around and play with the kids in five inch heels. And when you head to the beach in those heels, wouldn’t you feel out of place seeing other people in shorts, vests, t-shirts, sandals or flip-flops?
Some think impression doesn’t matter and that might work if you are in the comfort of your home because that is your territory. But if you are sharing territory with a couple of other people, it matters a lot.
I am sure you have seen people who attend weddings dressed like they are in a disco. In the disco, you will look like a rock star in a micro mini but at a wedding, it looks too silly.
A nice suit and tie for the guys always leaves a good first impression at a wedding or function. Other guys find it fit to wear t-shirts and checkered shorts to official functions and leave people wondering what they had taken before they arrived.
There is such a thing as trying to make an impression but then end up making the wrong one. If it’s church and you want to look ravishing, there are lots of ways you can do that with an outfit that doesn’t insult the Holy House and the people in it.

Try and dress in a suitable way for whatever it is you’re doing or attending because the way you dress says a lot about you. Leave a good impression that lasts.
