She was speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Bugesera district on Thursday. She further said opinion leaders have a vital role to educate the electorate about the electoral process.
The NEC vice chairperson, Fatu Harerimana reiterated the importance of the voter’s education. "The 2010 elections will not necessarily be as those of 2003. The number of voters has increased, for instance. The same applies to several issues that are critical to the successful outcome of the polls,” she said.
According to officials, the voters should be well informed about dates, election procedures and even the elections day itself.
