Alphonse Maniliho and Gaetan Nshimiyimana

Why a duo?
In 2008, we decided that ‘Two heads are better than one,’ that’s when we formed a team.

Are you in school?
Yes, Gaetano is a third year student at the Kigali Institute of Education and I (Man-Ali) a senior four student at APADE.

Why music of all things?
Through music we can spread different messages and besides, it’s our our talent and we love it.

What kind of music do you sing?
We sing secular music with a touch of Bongo.

Who inspires you?
Professor Jay.

Which songs have you produced?
We so far have ‘sikia’ and ‘ufunguwo ki’. Other tracks are in the pipeline.

Any challenges?
The lack of money is the biggest problem we face besides the inexperienced managers in the music game.

Any message for your funs?
Any fans out there should come out and tell us what they expect from us because we make music for them. Established artists need to come out and help upcoming artists, let’s stop the beef thing and show love.
