Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced that it will launch a 4th daily flight from Nairobi to Kigali on June 7, 2010.

This was revealed by the airline’s Group Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Titus T. Naikuni, during a customer forum in Kigali on Friday.  KQ currently operates three daily flights on its Nairobi-Kigali route.

"The new flight will enable KQ clients travelling between Nairobi and Kigali to enjoy a wide range of travelling options according to their convenient hours. This show how the airline business is growing in Kigali,” Naikuni said.

KQ is undergoing a destination expansion agenda, connecting different capital cities in Africa to the rest of the World, management says.

"Our ambitious expansion is to first connect capital cities then later we will think about carrying out internal flights in those countries,” Naikuni said.

He added that early this month, the airline introduced its 48th destination to Oman where it will offer a seamless connection to anticipated passengers travelling from Muscat to major destinations including, Nairobi, Dar-es Salaam, Mombasa, Zanzibar, Johannesburg, Bujumbura, Comoros, Lagos and Kigali.

According to Naikuni, KQ will open up new flight to Juba in Southern Sudan next month.
