Mothers are special to us

To every beautiful, caring, loving and supportive mother  that carried you and I for nine months. You endured serious nausea, early morning sickness, loss of weight and appetite with lots of love and anticipation for your baby whether  boy or girl, brown or dark.

Blessed is my mother who delivered me and my siblings.
O mother! l cannot stand alone without your shoulder to lean on; I cherish the look you give me, when l do something foolish, your warm hugs whenever I am stressed and angry.

Mother what will l ever do without your advice because your it comes as the only solution to my problems. Mother you’re the only fish in the lake that can swim to the depth of my heart.

O Mother! l travel a hundred miles, all day and night to get close to you and when you get to know that I will be visiting, you prepare my best dish ‘Luwombo!’ (chicken stew prepared in banana leaves) specially for me.

You then brief me on the  latest happenings, good and bad, in the village and of course you never forget to counsel me on how to behave as a girl as the saying goes; "an elder’s eye sees all dirty corners.” That is why I have always put her words and sermons into practice.

O Mother! I am what I am because of your enduring pain, love, care and supportive nuture towards me. You always tell me that even if I make eight years with or without you, " I will always be your baby girl.” For this, you will always be the one and only in my life

O Mother! I promise never to disappoint you in this unpredictable world you brought me into. I promise to share your unconditional love with the rest of the world without discriminating any one.

This love you passed on to me is worth sharing with your grand children. Your nature, character and personality, should not die out, it should pass on to other generations.
O Mother! a thousand praises are not enough to express how I feel.

What you have done for me, my siblings and others will never be forgotten. I wish everybody reading this article gets to know more about you, because i cannot explain it all. iHappy Mother Day!
