Center for Champions Technical Secondary School (TSS) will represent Rwanda at the CAF African Schools Championship after winning the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Under-14 Girls' Tournament, which concluded in Rubavu District on Saturday.
The Eastern Province side were crowned champions after defeating Petit Séminaire Baptiste 3-1 in the final at Umuganda Stadium.
Center for Champions enjoyed a flawless campaign, finishing top of their group before cruising to a 5-1 victory over PSG Academy Rwanda in the semifinals.
The triumph marks another milestone for the school, which has established itself as one of Rwanda's leading centres for girls' football development.
Since opening in 2018, Center for Champions TSS has combined technical education with a strong investment in youth sports, earning recognition as a centre of excellence for girls' football in the Eastern Province.
School officials attributed the success to the dedication of the players and coaching staff, as well as the institution's sustained commitment to nurturing young talent.
The FIFA Talent Development Scheme forms part of FIFA's global strategy to identify and develop promising young players, with the Under-14 tournament providing a pathway for talented girls to showcase their abilities and progress to higher levels of competition.
