Street Cars Slalom & GMT Musha Rally

Rwanda’s growing car culture has been finding a spotlight through local meets that showcase everything from clean street builds to heavily modified cars. The events have also challenged the idea that performance comes down to price, with many drivers presenting vehicles they have built and tuned over time rather than bought off the shelf.

That energy returns this week with Street Cars Slalom 2026 taking over Petit Stade in Remera on Friday, June 19. Organisers describe the event as a test of build and performance, saying: "You built it. You tuned it. Now bring it.”

The motorsport action continues the same evening with the second round of the Rwanda National Rally Championship, opening with a sprint at Petit Stade parking from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The weekend then shifts into full rally mode on June 20, when drivers take on the Remera–Musha stages in a timed battle across open roads and competitive sections.
