The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) has announced that the national basketball team, the Silverbacks, will hold a training camp in Rwanda ahead of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
In a statement released on Monday, team management named a 12-man squad for the upcoming qualifying tournament.
Head coach Mandy Juruni will lead a residential training camp in Kigali from June 20 to June 30 as the team prepares for the competition.
The camp will focus on fitness, tactical preparations and team chemistry before the Silverbacks travel to Luanda, Angola.
Uganda will compete in the FIBA Africa World Cup Qualifiers from July 2 to July 5.
"This window demands absolute focus. The ten days in Kigali will be instrumental in fine-tuning our execution. We have a group that understands the magnitude of representing Uganda on this stage, and the preparation will reflect that.”
