VIENNE Munyangondo expects nothing short of a win when APR hosts fallen giants Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) this afternoon at Amahoro Stadium.

After boosting his squad with the experienced trio of Bosco Gasana, Olivier Rwari, and Anaclet Bagirishya (right winger) in the transfer window, the APR coach reckons that the team is not only targeting a win but an imposing one.

"We have a good squad but it will count for nothing if we don’t prove it with results on the court.”

"The players are ready for the season and hope we shall finish top at the end,” Munyangondo said.

APR march into the tie with great confidence after finishing last year’s season unbeaten and winning this year’s Heroes tournament.

After back to back league titles in 2008 and 2009, the army side is chasing for a rare league hat-trick this year.

Two-time champions and last year’s runners up National University of Rwanda (UNR) play School of Finance and Banking (SFB) while 2007 champions Gicumbi entertain Police.

Meanwhile, the female league which is dominated by secondary school sides like reigning champions APAPEKI Cyuru, St.Joseph Kabgayi and APPEC Remera Rukoma is scheduled to start after the holiday season.
