Kenyan Afropop star Bien-Aimé Baraza delivered a high-energy performance at a packed BK Arena on Friday, May 22, with his hit song Finale stealing the spotlight during halftime of the BAL Playoffs clash between RSSB Tigers and FUS Rabat.
The former Sauti Sol frontman took to the court during the halftime break, thrilling fans with an electrifying set that perfectly blended music and basketball entertainment.
Bien opened his performance with a selection of popular Sauti Sol hits before treating the crowd to Finale, his collaboration with Tanzanian star Alikiba.
Released earlier this year, the song has become one of East Africa’s biggest collaborations, with its celebratory vibe matching the electric atmosphere inside the arena.
He also performed AYAYAAH, the regional Afropop anthem by Rwandan producer and singer Element EleéeH featuring Ugandan vocalist Joshua Baraka. The track sparked one of the loudest reactions of the night from the crowd.
On the court, RSSB Tigers dominated from the opening quarter, cruising past FUS Rabat to boost their hopes of making a deep playoff run on home soil.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were President Paul Kagame, NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum, FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, BAL President Amadou Gallo Fall, and NBA Africa CEO Clare Akamanzi.
The entertainment lineup will continue throughout the BAL Playoffs, with performances expected from Juno Kizigenza, Ish Kevin, Ariel Wayz, and Kivumbi King, while Nigerian rapper Olamide is set to headline the final on May 31.
