Mukura Victory Sport star Teete Wai Watui has returned to the club ending speculations that he was close to signing for Manyema Union of Democratic Republic of Congo.

The 22-year old attacking midfielder told Times Sport that he turned down a move to sign for the Kishasha based club to honour his contract with the Huye outfit.

Teete’s return ends speculations among Mukura faithful claiming that the player had gone AWOL, but the midfielder expressed his desire to honor his two-year contract that he only signed in June this year.

"I told them (Manyema Union) to talk to Mukura before any move could be done but when they refused to agree with what I was telling them, I had to fly back immediately,” he said.

Teete joined Mukura before the start of the second round of the previous Primus national football league, scored a handful of goals and inspired Mukura to a fourth spot finish in the league.

The club had initially planned to take disciplinary action against him for his actions but team manager Patrick Kayiranga said the player has apologized and offered genuine reasons for his absence.

He has missed Mukura’s first two league games, which they have won and his return will be a major boost to the Huye club that has scored five goals and conceded none in those two games.
