Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva arrived in Kampala on Monday, May 11, ahead of the swearing-in and inauguration ceremony of Uganda’s President-elect Yoweri Museveni, scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

Nsengiyumva will represent President Paul Kagame at the inauguration ceremony.

Museveni was declared winner of the January 15 elections after securing 71.65 per cent of 7.9 million votes. His main challenger, Robert Kyagulanyi got 24.72 per cent.

Uganda&039;s Electoral Commission announced the results on January 17. Voter turnout was 52.5 percent.

Justin Nsengiyumva will represent President Paul Kagame during the inauguration ceremony of Uganda’s President-elect Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday, May 12.

Several African leaders have arrived in Uganda ahead of the inauguration. More heads of state and senior government officials are expected to attend the ceremony.
