While Team Rwanda will not officially compete at the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2026, the country will still be represented on the stage through driver Queen Kalimpinya, who is competing with the KCB Bank Kenya Rally Team.

Scheduled for May 7 to 10 in Uganda, the rally is one of the major rounds of the African Rally Championship (ARC) calendar and attracts some of the top rally crews from across Africa.

Kalimpinya, one of Rwanda's rising figures in motorsport, confirmed her participation ahead of the rally.

Team Rwanda's absence comes after a combination of professional commitments and financial difficulties affected several crews that were expected to participate.

According to information gathered ahead of the rally, some drivers were unable to travel because of urgent work related responsibilities, while others faced financial constraints linked to rally preparation and participation costs.
