The brewing company was in imperious form last season winning all their games to dethrone Ministry of Defence (MoD) as basketball giants, but they failed to contain a spirited KIE side.
In the other game, MoD was too strong for Access bank after a 81-54 victory.
Action continues this weekend in volleyball and football.
Eleven companies are taking part in this year’s corporate league; Access Bank, BCR, Bank of Kigali, MoD, KIE, Electrogaz, Caisse Sociale, RAMA, Bralirwa, RRA and Ministry of Sports.
Last season, Cassie Sociale and BK won the volleyball and football categories respectively.
