The Minister of Public Service and Labour has promised civil servants that they will be getting their salaries earlier once all districts are connected to the new payroll system.

Anastase Murekezi, was speaking during a four-day sensitization workshop for district human resource managers.

The seminar embarked on sensitizing the civil servants on how to use the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System project (IPPIS) which makes processing and delivering payments to civil servants easier.

According to Murekezi, when payments are made in time, civil servants will be motivated, therefore improving the quality of services they deliver.

During the meeting, the participants requested for English lessons, since there are a number of civil servants who find difficulty in using the language.
